气动元件的许多使用场合，如轧钢机、纺织流水线等，在工作时间内不能因为气动元件的质量问题而中断，否则会造成巨大损失，因此气动元件的工作可靠性显得非常重要。在航海轮船上，使用的气动元件不少，但能打进这个领域的气动元件厂不多，原因是其对气动元件的可靠性要求特别高，必须通过有关全部机械的认证。
