用途：用作生化试剂；适用于防治肝脏疾病和砷或苯等中毒，也可用于治疗痢疾和慢性传染病后因蛋白质不足而引起的营养不良症；本品是饲料营养强化剂。畜禽缺乏蛋氨酸，会引起发育不良、体重减轻、肌肉萎缩、毛皮变质等。饲料中添加1kg蛋氨酸，相当于50kg鱼粉的营养价值。饲料中一般添加量为0,05%-0.2%。
