用  途：医药上用作利尿剂、镇静剂，有加强大脑皮层舒缓过程的作用。在合成香料、医药和染料等工业上作为溴化剂，也用作化学试剂和感光工业。

性  质：无色立方晶体或白色颗粒性粉末，属等轴晶系，无嗅、味咸而稍苦。在空气中易吸收水分而结块，但不潮解。比重3.203（25℃），熔点747℃、沸点1390℃，易溶于水、微溶于醇，其水溶液呈中性，有导电性。

Application：It is used as a diuretic or sedative in medicine and has a role in strengthening the inhibition process of the cerebral cortex. It is used as a brominating agent in industries such as synthetic fragrances, pharmaceuticals and dyes, and also as a chemical reagent and photographic industry.

Property：Colorless cubic crystal or white granular powder, belonging to the equiaxed crystal system, odorless, salty and slightly bitter. It absorbs moisture in the air and agglomerates, but it does not deliquesce. The specific gravity is 3.203 (25 ℃), the melting point is 747 ℃, the boiling point is 1390 ℃, soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, and its aqueous solution is neutral and conductive.
