柱塞
当柱塞上升至“上上点”后往下移动,柱塞倾斜槽又会与吸入口相遇,柴油又被吸进柱塞套里面,再次重复上述的动作。直列式喷油泵每一组柱塞系统对应一个气缸,4个气缸就有4组柱塞系统,因此体积比较大,多用在中型以上汽车。例如公共汽车和大货车上的柴油机一般用直列式喷油泵。

喷油型
喷油泵主要用在的汽车柴油机上,喷油泵总成通常是由喷油泵、调速器等部件安装在一起组成的一个整体。其中调速器是保障柴油机的低速运转和对高转速的限制,确保喷射量与转速之间保持一定关系的部件。而喷油泵则是柴油机重要的部件,被视为柴油发动机的“心脏”部件,它一旦出问题会使整个柴油机工作失常。
自吸油型
自吸油泵 启动前先在泵壳内灌满水(或泵壳内自身存有水)。启动后叶轮高速旋转使叶轮槽道中的水流向涡壳,这时入口形成真空,使进水逆止门打开,吸入管内的空气进入泵内,并经叶轮槽道到达外缘。然后与右回水孔流来的水汇合,顺着蜗壳流动。由于液体在蜗壳内不断冲击叶栅,就同空气强烈搅拌混合,生成气水混合物,并不断地流动致使气水不能分离。混合物在蜗壳出口被隔舌剥离,沿短管进入分离室。在分离室内空气被分离出来,由出口管排掉,而水仍经左右回水孔流向叶轮外缘,并与吸入管空气相混合。
泵操作及保养注意事项编辑
变量泵价格较贵且油污敏感,在较好次操纵及日常保养中应注意以下事项:
1.泵内注油: 啔动油泵前,从注油口向油泵内注油,直到注满为止。如果在注油前启动油泵,可能因不够润滑而失灵。
2.油泵不能反转 :注意电机接线,反转可能损坏油泵。
3.低速低压试运行 :重复启动及关闭电机,将泵与吸油内空气释放。输入百分之十的压力与流量,开射台前进与后退动作,以便流量与压力阀排气。运行十分钟后,如油路系统无异常声响,即可正常开机。机器如果停止使用一段时间后重新使用,亦需如此开机。
4.液压油选用 :液压油选用20—200Cstnian 黏度的液压油,推荐使用30-50cST黏度的优质液压油。油温低于5度时,应对液压油进行加热。液压油的清洁度应保持在NAS10以下 ,每三个月应清洗回油过滤器滤芯,以保持油路畅通及清洁。
5.油位保持在油标尺中位以上 :油位太低时,液压油是所含空气释放不充分,从而使油泵产生较大噪音和损坏

柱塞卡死在泵体里,用手扳动离合手柄,凭感觉判断柱塞是否卡死。如果分离轻松,说明柱塞弹簧处于压缩状态,柱塞已经卡死在泵体里。柱塞卡死的原因有三:①油泵工作时间较长,负荷较大,或长时间空泵,或配合间隙过小,润滑不良,温度过高等原因均可造成柱塞卡死。如果拉伤严重,应更变新泵;如果拉伤轻微,应用细砂布把拉伤处磨光,可继续使用。②新安装的油泵容易发生柱塞卡死现象,这主要是固定油泵的三个螺栓拧紧力矩不一致造成的,可把三个螺栓稍微拧紧。使油泵位置轻微移动,然后均匀拧紧三个螺栓即可。③液压油里杂质较多,使柱塞与泵体配合面损伤而卡死。
